The GP2 Asia Series car

This year, the single seater run in GP2 Asia will also take part in the GP2 Main Series.

The Dallara Renault of the GP2 Series uses the most up to date technologies in motorsport : semi auto gearbox, carbon monocoque, carbon discs, aerodynamic made in wind tunnel. Just like the F1 cars, the GP2 ones are equipped with à V8 engine.

2011 will see the fourth generation of the Dallara Mecachrome compete in the GP2 Series and together with advice from Renault, Pirelli and Mecachrome, Dallara conceived a new kit that comes on the GP2/08 chassis to give birth to a brand new car, which passed all the FIA F1 Safety Tests, the GP2/11.

This new car benefits from some of the recent aerodynamic developments seen in Formula One and is once again the car closest to F1 contenders.
