F2 // Brilliant Pace Undone by Chaos in Monaco!

Qualifying

• Victor dominated both free practice and his qualifying group, ultimately clocking the second-fastest time, just 0.003s off pole.
• Ritomo placed 6th in his group, which put him 11th on the grid after combining the two groups’ results.

Sprint Race

• While battling for points, Victor was hit by another driver. After a front wing change, he recovered with impressive pace, setting the fastest lap of the race.
• Ritomo dropped two places on the opening lap but recovered well to finish in the top 10, narrowly missing out on points.

Feature Race

• Victor got off to a brilliant start and led into Sainte Dévote, but was hit by Dunne and sent into the wall. The impact triggered a multi-car pile-up, which also took out Ritomo.
Neither ART Grand Prix driver was able to continue.

Victor Martins:

“To end the weekend like this is heartbreaking, because once again, we had tremendous potential. We missed out on pole by just three thousandths, and I got taken out in both races through no fault of my own.
Yes, penalties were handed out, but that doesn’t change the fact that my races were ruined. I’m extremely disappointed for the team — they deserved much more.”

Sébastien Philippe:

“Monaco is the most anticipated event for drivers, teams, partners, and fans. To spoil it with a desperate move at Turn 1 is damaging to the sport.
Twelve drivers — including Victor and Ritomo — saw their weekends abruptly ended, and we’re lucky no one was hurt in that pile-up.

From a sporting perspective, Victor was unlucky to miss the faster qualifying group and lost pole by just 0.003s. He was flawless in the races, fast and precise.
Ritomo was again close to the top 10 and continues his steady progression. We must stay focused — these unfortunate incidents must not overshadow the quality of our work or weaken our determination.”
