F2 MELBOURNE – Round 01

Qualifying

The first qualifying session of the season was productive, with good management of traffic and tires allowing both drivers to deliver smooth and consistent runs. Kush secured 7th place, while Tasanapol qualified 10th.

Sprint Race

Tasanapol started from pole position due to the reversed grid, but because of race events, he finished 4th, scoring his first points in FIA Formula 2.
Kush, meanwhile, was involved in several battles that slowed him down and prevented him from scoring points, finishing 12th.

Feature Race

Tasanapol maintained the same pace as the day before and managed his tires perfectly. At one stage fighting for the podium, he ultimately finished 6th after starting from 10th.
Kush stalled following his pit stop, which dropped him to last place. He recovered to finish 16th.

TASANAPOL INTHRAPHUVASAK

“There’s a lot of new things to learn, and I’d like to thank ART Grand Prix for supporting me in the best possible way from the winter tests through to Melbourne. This cohesion allowed us to stay calm and deliver our best.”

Sébastien Philippe

“A good start and consistent work from the team from the beginning to the end of the weekend. Both drivers were in the top 10 in the qualifying sessions. Tasanapol was particularly impressive in his first Formula 2 races, with two top-6 finishes and strong battles for the podium that he narrowly missed! Kush was a bit less fortunate during this first weekend, but his experience was valuable throughout the weekend and will pay off very soon.”
