Qualifying
Fast from the start, with both drivers finishing free practice in the top 6, Ritomo Miyata and Victor Martins carried their momentum into qualifying, securing the 2nd and 4th fastest times respectively.
Sprint Race
Victor made a strong start, overtaking two cars on the opening lap to move into 4th place. He went on to pass two more drivers to claim his second podium of the season.
Ritomo, starting 9th, secured a point by finishing 8th.
Feature Race
In wet conditions, Victor and Ritomo ran together in 2nd and 4th positions until the pit stops.
After receiving a penalty for exceeding track limits, Victor dropped back to 15th but fought his way back into the points to finish 8th.
Ritomo delivered a strong, consistent race, spending most of it between P2 and P4, and eventually securing his first Formula 2 podium with a brilliant 2nd-place finish.
Ritomo Miyata
“We have often lacked performance, had bad luck, or faced technical issues, but here I immediately felt confident, and we finally managed to optimize our qualifying. During the Sprint neutralization with five laps to go, we had nothing to lose and switched to a fresh set of tyres, which unfortunately wasn’t competitive enough to gain many places. I’m honored to give ART Grand Prix my first F2 podium – it’s a reward for the whole team’s commitment and determination.”
Sébastien Philippe – Team Principal
“Victor confirmed his pace in qualifying and finally took the podium that had narrowly escaped him several times. Ritomo’s progress on this demanding track was also rewarded, with his first front-row start and first podium. Despite the rain, strategy in the Feature wasn’t any easier, as tyre wear forced everyone to pit around the same time. Now the goal is to carry this momentum into Budapest, where both the track and conditions will be very different.”
