Lia Block to race with ART Grand Prix for the 2024 F1 Academy season

ART Grand Prix is extremely proud to announce its collaboration with Lia Block for the second season of the F1 Academy in 2024.

Lia grew up in in an extreme sports passionate family, learning the thrills of rallycross and karting at just 11 years old. At the beginning of 2023, she took part in the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

This year, she has participated in the four Italian heats of Extreme E and at just 17 years of age, she is the youngest champion of the ARA (American Rally Association) in the 2-wheel category.

Lia has recently joined the Williams Racing Driver Academy and will be bearing the colors of the Formula 1 team under the ART Grand Prix banner and into the 100% female series, the F1 Academy.

Lia Block:

“I am really excited by the idea of joining a very successful and professional team such as ART Grand Prix to participate in the F1 Academy. This is a project I didn’t think would be within my grasp in 2024, but I’m ready both physically and mentally to take on this new challenge. I am looking forward to this new experience and to learning as much as I can thanks to the expertise of ART GP together with Williams Racing.”

Sébastien Philippe:

“Extreme sports are part of Lia’s DNA and her debut in high-profile international competitions attest to her talent and her adaptability to a wide range of demanding environments. At 17 years old, Lia is driven with a great determination and an appetite for major challenges, that should allow her to quickly find her place on our team and in the F1 Academy.”
