ART Grand Prix is pleased to announce that Japanese driver Taito Kato will compete in the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship with the team.
Supported by Honda, the 17-year-old talent continues his rise through the junior categories by moving up to F3 after a promising campaign in FRECA with ART Grand Prix.
At just 17 years old, Taito Kato has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young talents to watch. Crowned French F4 Champion in 2024, he took another major step forward this season in FRECA with ART Grand Prix, finishing 7th in the championship thanks to consistently strong performances throughout the year.
His commitment, determination and adaptability convinced ART Grand Prix to promote him to FIA Formula 3, continuing the team’s tradition of developing some of the most talented young drivers in international motorsport.
Sébastien Philippe – Team Principal
“Taito integrated perfectly into the team this season in FRECA. He showed strong adaptability, great discipline, and a lot of potential that is just waiting to be fully expressed at the highest level. Moving up to FIA F3 is the natural next step in our collaboration. He’s still young, but he has already demonstrated real maturity in his driving and a clear desire to improve with every session. We’re excited to continue this journey together in 2026.”
